Privacy policy
Last updated October 8, 2026
This policy covers the Writerphernalia website and the apps Storyphernalia and Journalography. The short version: your writing stays on your device, and we never see it.
Your writing
Storyphernalia and Journalography save everything you write in your web browser’s own storage (called IndexedDB) on your phone, tablet or computer. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. We don’t collect it, can’t see it, and can’t recover it for you. Backup files you download are yours to keep wherever you choose.
No accounts, no AI
The apps have no sign-up and no account, so we hold no names, emails or passwords. Neither app uses AI, and your writing is never used to train anything.
This website
- We don’t use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind on this website or in the apps.
- The site and apps are hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. We don’t use that information to track you.
Purchases
Both apps are free while in early access, and nothing is for sale yet. When purchases become available, a payment company will handle your payment. We’ll receive only what’s needed for your order (such as your name, email and what you bought), never your card details, and this policy will be updated first.
Children
The apps don’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes and questions
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date above. Questions are welcome on our contact page.
